Hannah's story is one of growth and dedication. From a school leaver, uncertain of her career path to a confident and qualified Childcare Practitioner, her journey highlights the power of hard work, mentorship, and the right opportunities.
A Foundation for Success
Hannah began her journey at John Paul Academy, where she achieved excellent grades before progressing to college. During her time at college, she completed a Level 5 Child Health and Social Care course, which solidified her passion for childcare and confirmed it as her chosen career path.
Stepping Into the Nursery Environment
After leaving college, Hannah was successful in her interview with L&G Learning and began a two week trial at Hillfoot Nursery, where she impressed the team. Her performance during this trial led to an apprenticeship opportunity within the nursery, setting her on the path toward becoming a qualified practitioner.
Exceeding Expectations Through Dedication
Hannah's commitment to her apprenticeship was evident throughout her journey. She completed the SVQ Level 3 Social Services: Childcare & Young People qualification in record time, a feat attributed to her dedication and eagerness to learn. Her assessor, Linzi Robertson, praised Hannah’s high standards, willingness to take on additional responsibilities, and proactive approach to seeking help and support.

Her determination, commitment, and resilience were key factors in achieving the full award in a short space of time.”

Hannah’s manager, Lynsey, expressed pride in her accomplishments during her final review. Hannah’s growth and skills earned her a full-time position as a valued member of the nursery team.
